First of all, Happy Thanksiving from all of us at Shasta Cloud. We’re truly grateful for everyone who has been part of our journey, and we’re excited for what’s to come. Before carving your turkey, settle in for a little light reading in this week’s edition of The Shasta Summit.

Now, let’s talk about the “real” AI. Every show floor is filled with AI branding. AI dashboards. AI insights. AI diagnostics. Dozens of demos and hundreds of buzzwords.

To many of the MSPs we talk to, however, most networking vendor AI is adding more work, not removing it. More screens. More alerts. More steps. More overhead. AI = complication, not just intelligence.  In this edition:

  • Why complexity is the real problem AI should solve

  • Where vendors get AI wrong

  • What intelligence looks like when it stays simple

AI Should Remove Steps, Not Add Them

MSPs do not need another analytics window. They need fewer. They do not need smarter alerts. They need fewer alerts. They do not need recommendations. They need automation that completes tasks without noise.

AI should feel like an easy button. The instant it doesn’t, all we see is noise…more clicks, more menus, more training, more friction. Networking needs simplicity, not complexity wrapped in new branding.

Complexity Is the Hidden Tax

Every extra approval increases delay. Every staging step increases labor. Every repetitive workflow lowers margin. Complexity quietly drains profit.

MSPs want predictability, lower effort, and a model that protects margin without forcing them through aging vendor processes. AI should reduce that tax, not raise it.

Simplicity Scales

When simplicity becomes the default, everything accelerates.

  • Install times drop
  • Documentation stays consistent
  • Operations run smoother
  • Margin increases
  • Customer experience improves without extra training

AI does not need to feel complex to be powerful. The smartest system is the simplest system.

Shasta Cloud’s mission is to remove friction, not add it. To automate the work that slows partners down. To provide a platform that does the heavy lifting quietly in the background.

Simplicity is the real AI.

Thanks for reading, and we will see you next week on The Shasta Summit. Gobble gobble!
